Welcome to my agarwood blog. Wild agarwoods in Malaysia is rooted & associated with native indiginous aboriginese that dwell in the tropical rainforest. They are gatherers, hunters, collectors & wanderer in the wilderness and has a rich oral tradition of ethno-botany enviroment. They know well about agarwoods. They will change from normadic to semi-normadic life and to permanent sedentry subsistance & sustainable agriculture. Collecting agarwood seedlings in the wild & planting cultivated agarwood in their native land reserve makes a more realistic aproach to the economic elimination of poverty. Cultivated agarwoods is becoming global bio-tech commercial industries. Our world wide communities are small but an intresting global village. We need you to share your thought about agarwood in this blog.

-Small leaves
-Undersurface of leaves hairy
-Leaves shape from ovial to oblong.
A. baccariana:
-Medium size trees
-Distint undersurface secondary nerve
-Leaves are gloomy green-greyish
A. rostrata:
-Secondary undersurface nerves are quite invisible
A. malaccansis:
-Large trees
-Leaves surface are oval shining & pointed.
A. microcarpa:
-Distint large leaves
-Heart shape fruit.
Sub-species from wild cross inter-breeding are not uncommon with cross features.
Imported species:
A. subintegra:
